Orange Juice and Lemon Lamingtons

Hey Guys,

8:31am here in Hong Kong, we are going to go out soon, going to have a low key day. I woke up at 4:25 this morning, it felt like I was the only one in the whole city who was awake because it was so quiet, not like during the day when it is very noisy, Yesterday it was REALLY REALLY hot, we went to one of the islands and rented bicycles and toured round. I have some new pictures to show you. We applied for visas to go into China yesterday, and we will get them on Friday. This morning at about 6 o'clock dad and I went out for a walk because we were both awake and mom was sleeping. We walked all along the water and saw the people jogging and fishing on the pier. Then went to one of the many 24 hours McDonalds and dad had a coffee, and I had an orange juice and a lemon lamington. I asked for a small orange juice and it was so small that you could stick it in your ear without getting your shirt wet. Drinking lots of orange juice in our room too,we ave a fridge, I have d=been through two one litre cartons in three days. Have o go to breakfast now.

Sunny Hot Sun

Well, we just got back to our hotel room from a day out at Cheng Chau, an island where there are no cars, only bicycles. We rented bicycles and toured around. It was hotter than Hell and VERY humid. We are about to go out again for dinner, just had a shower, again it was very hot and sweaty. Here are some more pictures from yesterday and today.

Leaving

Well, we are in the Terrace airport waiting for our flight and it seems to be delayed <_>. We are going to spend the night at great grandma Haverstock's condo. We hope to leave tomorrow afternoon for Hong Kong, where we will stay about three nights while we wait for our visas and then we are going to go into central China. We are researching traveler's diarrhea medicine, just in case. Got lots to do one the plane, 13 and a half hours, an hour and a half shorter than the Sydney flight, really hope that my ankles don't swell up too bad.

DFTBA, Laura
