Hello hello,

From Canada this time, where I am painfully, yes painfully, sitting on my foot. Why am I sitting on my foot you ask? Because the computer at my grandmother's house on Vancouver Island is on a counter and I am too short to sucessfully reach said keyboard while sitting on the stool so I have to sit on my foot. There is some real pain going on here because my foot is all cramped up. I think that I will go and get a pillow, hold on.........................
.........ouch..........................................ah.............................there we go.....................
......................................okay........................................................................................
...............................now that I sucessfully have a nice firm pillow so that I can reach the keyboard. I know that I am back in Canada now so most of you will have stopped checking our blog, I think that the only two people who will be reading this now are Kennix and Erika. Hi guys. I thought that I would post some pictures of our trip for your enjoyment. Here you go.

Sorry about the extreme lateness of this post.

We are fine,

We are in the Hong Kong airport, ready to come home today. Mom is fine, she is a little bruised up but we will get her home and get her teeth all looked after. Only mom and dad will be coming home, I will be going to Vancouver Island for a little while. Our flight number is AC 008. We had alot of fun up until this accident and we will have a good story to tell when we get home. The weather here is nice. We are staying in the airport hotel, can't remember the name, but we have a good room, even though we have to practically walk for like 5 minutes to get to our our room.

Off we go!!!!!!!

Just a quick note before we go to the airport, headed for Guilin. Our flight leaves at four, it is 11:55 now but we have to be there warly because it is an "international" flight. Hong Kong is a special economic zone, hence international. We went to the jade market this morning and got some nice things. We also walked through some of the markets that we hadn't seen. We also went to the opal mine, a huge show room of opals. Some of them were for sale, they also had a "study centre" where you could learn all about the different kinds of opals. Mom looked at a pinkie ring, but she decided that there were too many opals, it was too big. Here are some pictures of some of the things that we have seen today. We may not be able to blog for a while, we don't know if we are going to have internet where we are staying. We don't even have a hotel reservation, we'll find somewhere. Time to go.

MMMMMmmmmmmm, spicey ;O

We went out for Indian tonight, it was VERY VERY good. When we came out of the restaurant it was raining harder than I have ever seen it rain. It only rained for about 5 minutes but that was enoughto soak the streets. After waiting out the rain we went to see the lightshow again, it was soooooo good that we had to see it a second time. We are all packed and ready to go tomorrow, we leave for the airport at about 1:30 for our afternoon flight. We spend 4 days there and the n we come back and spend one mre night in Hong Kong. We should be back in Vancouver on the 12. Mum and I are going to go over to the island to visit Nanny and Bumpafar a while, while dad comes home. We went out to Aberdeen and went to a couple of markets and then caught an old style trolley and rode that for a while before coming back to te hotel for a swim, right when we got out of the pool it started raining so hard that you couldn't see to the other side of the harbour. Earlier today we went to the other side of the harbour and rode a sanpan (a wooden boat) all around the harbour for half an hour. It's getting late, time to go to bed soon, it is 9:03 pm here and we have to get up early because we are goingto go to the jade museum if it is nice but if it is raining we are going to go to the Honk Kong Museum of Art. Here are some pictures from our day.

Good day today ;0

I threw up on the ferry today. Yes you just read that, and if you're not sure about that yes, I threw up on the ferry today. We were on our way to Macao on the ferry and it was REALLY rough. I wasn't the only one though, lots of people were the same. We went to Macou today. Mom ate frogs legs and I got sick on the ferry and dad got sick to his stomach from his dinner. It wasn't as hot today but it was like 100% humidity. Here are some pictures from our day. We bought some really good pork jerky adn candy/chocolate covered sunflower seeds at one of the bakeries in Macou. I had never even eard of Pork jerky until then, but it was really good. We went into one of the old churches in Macou and went upstairs to where it had been turned into sort of a museum, it was really interesting. Tomorrow is our last full day here and we are going to go to the jade market and to the honk kong museum of art, there si a huge Louis Vittion thing going on, I really want to see it. We leave on Monday afternoon to go into the country and we will be staying there for a few days before we come home. The chinese visas are really cool, it is like a full page sticker in your passport. Time to go to bed, it is getting late, ful day tomorrow.

Home Alone.

Hello hello from Hong Kong.

We went bowling and swimming and bowling tonight and had a lot of fun. Right this second I am watching Home Alone. I know, a christmas movie in the middle of sumer, but that's how the chinese do it. Sorry Mrs. Li but i can't bright you any cream soda, the bottle/can it too large to bring on the plane, I would otherwise. We had alot of fun today, we went to the Tia Po fishing village and saw how all of the people live there. It was quite interesting. Please don't climb the shelves, that is what i am thinking about the little boy in home alone, see, he just fell. I have to go for now, time for sleep.

Mission Accomplished :)

Mission Accomplished at the Ladies Market last evening. I finally found and purchased my first knock off purse of our trip. It's a lovely deep purple D&G purse. Laura and I also found some other treasures like cute little ankle socks and some bandanas. Laura continues to look for a tripod but we'll have to go back to the Temple Market for it.

Today we ventured out into the New Territories. We went to the Tai Po Market where they market everything from live frogs to eels to tiny little fish. They eat anything over here! We also went to see the 10,000 Budda's but it is under renovation so walked many, many stairs for nothing. Oh ya, found another market and bought another purse- Louis Vutton for a whole $12 Cnd. Doug just rolls his eyes and walks away!!

This afternoon we went for our daily swim in our hotel pool which is lovely. Pool water was 28 degrees while outside air was 32 degrees with 67% humidity.

Tonight we went for dinner at the Salisbury YMCA which is reasonably priced and just around the corner from our hotel. Then we went to watch the symphony of lights down by the Star Ferry in the harbour-beautiful light show with music.

Doug is kicked back on his bed watching TV drinking beer, which by the way you can purchase in any and all stores for 75 cents.

Tomorrow we pick up our Visa's and purchase our plane tickets so we can fly into China on July 6th. We go to Guilin which is approximately 600 miles by air, west of Hong Kong. Should be fun.

Time to relax
